Collect five essential data points
Width × length × height, including projections.
Usable inner space, not external dimensions.
Needed to distribute support and plan pack quantity.
Electronics, glass, optics, coatings or dense metal.
Bottom-top, side or multi-directional restraint.
Assess the actual void around the product
Subtracting product dimensions from the internal carton dimensions gives the total void, but that space may not be distributed equally. Plan bottom, top and side support separately.
Then decide how that void will be divided between supporting surfaces.
NCpack product range
The chart supports comparison but is not a stand-alone selection formula. Weight and placement must also be assessed.
| Code | Pack size | Thickness | Units/carton |
|---|---|---|---|
| NC-10 | 24 × 15 cm | 4 cm | 75 |
| NC-20 | 25 × 18 cm | 8 cm | 60 |
| NC-30 | 25 × 25 cm | 7 cm | 50 |
| NC-40 | 25 × 45 cm | 7 cm | 40 |
| NC-50 | 40 × 40 cm | 7 cm | 32 |
| NC-60 | 45 × 45 cm | 10 cm | 30 |
| NC-70 | 50 × 50 cm | 7 cm | 28 |
| NC-80 | 50 × 50 cm | 10 cm | 25 |
| NC-90 | 60 × 50 cm | 7 cm | 22 |
| NC-100 | 65 × 65 cm | 10 cm | 20 |
Sales format: NCpack is supplied B2B by the carton. Final selection is confirmed by sample or on-site application.
Shortlist, then verify
- Check dimensional fit.
Compare available carton void with the intended support surface.
- Account for weight.
Distribute heavy loads rather than overloading one pack.
- Protect fragile points.
Keep screens, sockets and projections away from load-bearing contacts.
- Shortlist no more than two codes.
Test close candidates with the actual product to avoid oversizing.
