Series comparison

Sensitive, Standard and Heavy-Duty Series

The correct series is selected by product surface sensitivity, weight, geometry and required support character—not by choosing the hardest foam.

NCpack principle

The right packaging is not the hardest foam; it is the foam and support arrangement suited to the product.

01

Weight alone does not determine the series

Two products of equal weight may have completely different surfaces, geometry and fragility. A metal component can need concentrated load support, while a measuring instrument may need softer, broader contact.

02

Core differences between the three series

SeriesSupport characterTypical useKey consideration
SensitiveSofter, more sponge-likeElectronics, optical and fragile productsSurface pressure and vulnerable parts
StandardBalanced, general purposeIndustrial parts, service and regular shipmentsCarton void and correct code
Heavy-DutyHigher load-support focusMotors, equipment and dense metal partsDistributing load across several supports
03

Sensitive Series: softer contact

The Sensitive Series provides a softer, more sponge-like foam character for products with delicate surfaces or low impact tolerance.

  • Electronics and equipment containing circuit assemblies
  • Measuring, laboratory and optical instruments
  • Glass, ceramics and sensitive surface finishes
  • Service and return shipments without original packaging
04

Standard Series: balanced general-purpose support

The Standard Series forms around the product to reduce movement in general industrial shipments. The broad code range supports different product and carton sizes.

  • Industrial components and spare parts
  • Service, repair, return and second-hand shipments
  • Wooden, decorative and custom-manufactured products
05

Heavy-Duty Series: distribute higher loads

Heavy-product packaging requires more than simply harder material. Motors, equipment and dense components may need the load distributed across bottom, side and top supports, using multiple packs where necessary.
